Tall ships set sail in Cleveland in July
The spectacle of tall sailing ships will dock along the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland for four days this month.
The Tall Ships Festival gives landlubbers a chance to glimpse, step aboard, and even set sail during a celebration from July 7-10, 2022.
There’s fun for those who choose to remain on land with festival foods, craft beers, music, street performers, and a festival marketplace.
This year’s festival welcomes a fleet of historic tall ships from harbors in the United States, Canada, and Spain.
The grand fleet will be docked near the north side of FirstEnergy Stadium and feature 7 replicas and restored ships.
The event begins with a Parade of Sail on Thursday evening and features a display of eight traditionally rigged sailing vessels crewed, in part, by young people ages 13 – 25.
