Ohio & Mahoning Valley - Ohio's second primary is now less than a month away and the deadline to register for early voting is fast approaching. Here's what you need to know for early voting.

The deadline to register for early voting in the August primary is Tuesday, July 5. The early voting period, as well as absentee voting by mail will begin on Wednesday, July 6.

You can early vote in person between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the early voting period. Early voting will continue until Election Day and will include the Saturday, Sunday and Monday before Election Day.  

On the weekend before Election Day, polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday. 

All absentee ballots must be received by your local board of elections no later than 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30. The postmark deadline for absentee ballots is Monday, August 1. If not returned by mail, absentee ballots must be received no later than 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Election Day voting will take place on Tuesday, August 2. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
