YOUNGSTOWN - The two teens accused of murdering of 14-year-old Landon Lockhart earlier this year are set to face a probable cause hearing.

That means the evidence against 16-year-old Anjuan Whitfield and Anthony Wilkins will go in front of a judge, and who then determines if the case will be bound over to adult court.

Both juveniles have criminal records from separate incidents. Wilkins has felony vandalism and robbery charges and misdemeanor assault. Whitfield also has vandalism and robbery charges as well as felonious assault and assault charges.

Wilkins and Whitfield were arrested on May 11 on different charges but an investigation later linked them to Lockhart's death. They will remain held in the juvenile justice center.

Lockhart went missing in November of 2021. His body was later found in a wooded area off North Truesdale Avenue on the morning of January 13.
