Cleveland Guardians standout Andres Gimenez will start at second base in Tuesday's All-Star game at Dodger Stadium. Gimenez got the nod to start after Jose Altuve announced that he will not participate in the Mid-Summer Classic.

It's the first all-star appearance for Gimenez -- becoming the first Cleveland second baseman to start in the game since Roberto Alomar in 2000, and the youngest starter since 22-year-old Bob Feller in 1941.

Gimenez is batting .296 on the campaign with 10 HRs, to go along with 43 RBI in the span of 79 games.

The first pitch is slated for 8:00 p.m.
