A man was arrested after pulling a gun on another man in broad daylight in downtown Youngstown Friday morning.

Police tell 21 News that two men got into an altercation near International Towers on Market Street shortly before 9:00 a.m. 

One suspect, identified as 35-year-old Gregory Croom allegedly pulled a gun on the other male, but quickly hid it after police were called.

The other male told police that Croom is in an abusive relationship with his sister and that he's been known to threaten other members of the male's family, as well as the male himself in the past.

The other male went on to tell police that Croom told him, "I'm gonna kill all y'all. I need my fix. Your sister owes me money."

Police say a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun hidden in a flower bed. A witness told police they observed Croom digging around in the flower bed just as police were about to arrive.

Police say Croom has an extensive history of felony arrests

Croom is charged with Aggravated Menacing, Having Weapons Under Disability and Parole Violation.
