The 3rd Annual Back the Blue Rally was held in Canfield to support law enforcement officers and to raise
money for children whose parent never came home.

The event on the Canfield Green began with the posting of the colors, and singing of the National Anthem.

A co-founder of Back the Blue says money raised by basket raffles and sponsors goes to help children of fallen officers.

"It's just a small way to try and help them during their time of loss because we can't bring back anyone's loved ones, but we want to do something to help in some way, shape, or form to help ease their burdens." said Christine Oliver.

In 2021, 129 officers died in the line of duty. The majority of killings were a result of gunfire.

The wife, and kids of Alliance Police officer Joseph Amabeli were presented with a portrait at the Back the Blue Rally. The 35 year old started his career in Sebring. He died in May on the job from a unexpected medical issue.
