AAA: Gas prices continue to decrease in Ohio

NORTHEAST OHIO - Gas prices across Ohio are on the decline again.
According to AAA East Central's Gas Price Report, this week's average price is nine cents lower across Northeast Ohio.
The average price in the region sits at $3.526 for a gallon of regular gas. The average last week was $3.616 and the average for this time last year was $2.987.
The lowest price in the Mahoning Valley is in Niles with an average of $3.44 followed by Youngstown at $3.456.
Nationally, gas price averages fell seven cents to $3.71, a level not seen since the beginning of March.
According to AAA, the reason for the decline is the lower cost of oil. Prices for oil have fallen steadily for the last three months, causing prices at the pump to fall as well.
The supply is up as well. Crude oil inventory grew by 8.9 million barrels this week to 427.2 million.
While there has been an increase in demand for gas, AAA says pump prices could continue to fall as summer driving comes to an end.
