One man dead, another hospitalized after South Side shooting

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - One man is dead after a shooting that took place on the city's South Side shortly before 10:00 p.m. Friday, October 7.
The Youngstown Police Department responded to an alert about numerous rounds of gunfire in the area of East Evergreen Avenue.
After expanding their investigation, police found a black man with multiple gunshot wounds dead on Erie Street near warren Avenue.
Around the same time police found the man on Erie Street, another black man who sustained numerous gunshot wounds arrived at Mercy Health. He is in stable condition.
Both men are believed to be in their late 20's.
No arrests have been made at this time.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting. The shooting is currently under investigation.
