CANFIELD, Ohio - No OVI arrests were made at a checkpoint held Friday night near the Boardman Sparkle on South Avenue.

However, one person was still arrested at this checkpoint with a charge of Having Weapons While Under Disability and another arrest was made on a misdemeanor arrest warrant.

Other enforcement activity at this checkpoint included two summonses for driving under suspension, one summons for no operator's license, two citations for adult restraint, one citation for child restraint, two summonses for drug abuse, one citation for expired registration and one citation for two headlights required.

The Mahoning County OVI Task Force is committed to making roadways safer and will remain vigilant in keeping impaired drivers off the road.
