YOUNGSTOWN - Humane agents say charges are pending after a tip from a concerned citizen led them to a Youngstown home where they found ten emaciated dogs who were dehydrated and covered in wounds.

According to a post on the Mahoning County Dog Warden and Animal Charity’s Facebook pages, eight of the dogs were being kept in a back yard, some in cages and others tied up with only barrels for shelter.

In addition, two puppies belonging to the same owner were tied in the front yard of a home across the street.

One of the posts say the dogs were happy to see the humane agents.

Animal Charity is asking for donations to cover the cost of medical treatment.

The post does not give the address of where the dogs were found, but says they have a long road of recovery ahead of them.
