The William Carter Company has issued a recall on select infant footed fleece pajamas due to potential laceration hazards.

The recalled product is yellow footed fleece pajamas with white hearts and a picture of a pig on them. 

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), there are small metal wire pieces inside the pajamas which could pose laceration and puncture hazards in young children.

The recalled product was sold at stores such as Carter's, Kohl's, Macy's, Belk, Boscov's and online on Carters' website between July of 2022 and September of 2022 for about $22 apiece.

The product was sold in sizes 12M, 18M and 24M. Style number 10102410 is printed on the front of the care tag sewn on the inside of the pajamas and the UPC number is printed on the back of the same tag.

Products with the UPC numbers, 195861313861, 195861313878 and 195861313885 are affected by the recall.

Anyone who has purchased a recalled product should take it away from their children and return it to their nearest Carter's location for a full refund in the form of a gift card. 

Alternatively, consumers can contact Carter's to request a free return label and envelope to return the pajamas for a full refund in the form of an electronic gift card.

There have been no reported injuries from the recalled product at this time.
