The suspect in a fatal August shooting entered a guilty plea in a Mahoning County court Wednesday.

In August, 45-year-old Jacques Peterman-Oliver was accused of shooting Cameron Dyer, 36, at the Logan Gas Mart on Logan Avenue before driving him to the Youngstown Police Department HQ, where Dyer died.

Peterman-Oliver was indicted in September for murder, having a weapon under a disability, and tampering with evidence.

On Wednesday, he plead to lesser charges including one count of voluntary manslaughter with a three-year firearm specification and one count of having weapons under disability.

Peterman-Oliver is set to be sentenced on February 28th of 2023. He will be held without bond pending that sentence.
