WARREN, Ohio - Warren Mayor, Doug Franklin and Youngstown Mayor Jamael "Tito" Brown will be joining bipartisan mayors from across the country in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday January 20 for the U.S. Conference of Mayors winter meeting in the White House.

Mayor Franklin tells 21 News topics that will be discussed include the best practices with ARP funding and looking into regulations and guidelines for other projects and new initiatives.

These initiatives include broadband, infrastructure, economic development assistance, job creation and environmental programs. Franklin also tells us the council will be looking into what they can expect for Community Development Block Grants (CDBGs).

Franklin tells us the infrastructure improvements would include electric vehicle charging stations and where they could be set up in the city of Warren, as well as across the country. 

21 News also reached out to Youngstown Mayor, Jamael "Tito" Brown who says he "would be honored" to attend the meeting as well. 

Mayor Brown tells 21 News he would also discuss ARP funds, infrastructure, economic development, etc. but adds that he'd also like to discuss electric vehicle supply chain opportunities for the City of Youngstown.
