YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Ohio to Works Mahoning Valley met this morning to go over a report aimed at helping employers find workers.

Partnering with JobsOhio, the organization is working with businesses throughout the Mahoning Valley to partner employers who need workers with people looking for quality jobs.

The group is focusing on jobs in manufacturing, nursing and technology.

"Those industries not only have the greatest demand for employment, but also offer the greatest opportunity for those seeking employment," Julie Michael Smith, project manager at Mahoning Valley Manufacturing Coalition said.

Smith says the coalition found that while COVID-19 impacted the work force during the pandemic, there were still people in the Valley who interested in employment, but just needed assistance to find quality jobs.
