A repeat offender in Warren was sentenced to decades behind bars for multiple criminal counts.
Antuan Parker had nothing to say as a Trumbull Common Pleas Judge sentenced him to the maximum sentence behind bars for murdering Desirae Boss on October 2, 2021.
The forty-four-year-old was convicted of desecration of a body for dumping the victim's body in a field, and Arson for torching the house where he shot Boss in the head during an argument in front of witnesses.
"All sentences shall be served consecutively for a sentence of 42 to 47 and a half years to life," said Judge Cynthia Wescott Rice.
The Judge emphasized Parker has a substantial criminal record, showed no remorse, and was on probation for another crime when he murdered 32-year-old Desirae Boss, taking her away from her daughter and her mom.
"Not a day goes by that I don't have tears in my eyes, and my heart doesn't ache. The memories of Desire was joyful. She made everyone smile around her. She was just happy," said Denise Code.
"Her daughter asked why did he kill my mommy when she trusted him," added Code.
If Parker is released he will be on five years of post-release control. He must register as a Violent Offender with Ohio's BCI and with the state's Arson Registry for Life.
Parker refused to sign either order acknowledging he understands this, however a record of the proceedings shows he was told about the conditions of release, but he refused to sign.
Parker has 30 days to appeal the jury's guilty verdict.
As he was removed from the courtroom, the victim's loved ones were clear about where they hoped Antuan Parker ends up.
I hope you rot in hell said one person.
Another person yelled, he will rot and called Parker a murderer.
