Warren couple's home shot up for second time in a week

WARREN, Ohio - A home on Warren’s southwest side has been the target of gunfire for second time in less than a week.
A 67-year-old man told police that he and his 47-year-old wife were in the living room of their Jackson St. SW home when they heard gunshots and breaking glass shortly before midnight Sunday.
No one was hurt. Police recovered a bullet from a kitchen wall and found five spent shell casings in a field across the street.
It was just before 2 a.m. last Wednesday when someone fired shots at the same home.
At that time, officers found bullet holes in the walls, window, and a door.
The living room window had been shot four times, the front door had one bullet hole, and the outside wall of the home was shot twice.
Police found bullet holes in the living room, including a couch cushion and a thermostat.
Bullets also struck the home’s kitchen, putting a hole in a drawer.
Police recovered two of the 9 mm bullets from the home and found twelve 9mm shell casings in the street.
The husband and wife told police they have lived at the home for 14 years and have no idea who would have fired the shots, or why.
