"Boom Boom" Mancini to enter National Boxing Hall of Fame
He won the WBA Lightweight title in 1982
Youngstown's Ray "Boom Boom" is being inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame in April.
After turning pro in 1979, he won the WBA Lightweight Championship in 1982. He defended the title several times and retired in in 1992 with a record of 29-5 with 23 knockouts.
The induction is April 23 in Montebello, California.
