HERMITAGE, Pa. - The Kennedy Catholic girls basketball team has won their second state championship in school history.

The Golden Eagles beat Homer Center 65-45 at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Kennedy Catholic led nearly the entire game only trailing in the first quarter.

The Eagles led 26-20 at half and outscored the Wildcats 18-6 in the third quarter and led 44-26 at the end of three.

Sophomore Layke Fields led the Eagles with  23  points. Monique Vincent chipped in 14 and Bella Magestro had 14.

The Golden Eagles finish their season 26-4 .

The team is expected to arrive back at the high school Friday afternoon.
