A Salineville man already awaiting trial on a host of charges, including aggravated murder, faces a new charge spelled out in a secret indictment handed up by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.

Bond was set at $75,000 for Justin Givens, who was charged with one count of possession of a deadly weapon while under detention.

According to the indictment, Givens had a razor blade while under detention in October.

An earlier ten-count indictment accuses Givens of fatally shooting 67-year-old Mary Ann McGuire, whose body was found at her Depot Road home in Hanoverton in March of last year.

Givens has been held in the county jail on $1 million bail since his arrest in March when he was arrested for having weapons under a disability and attempted escape.

Givens is the boyfriend of the victim's stepdaughter Alyssa McGuire.

Givens is awaiting trial on charges that include aggravated murder, murder, firearm specifications, grand theft of a firearm, tampering with evidence, endangering children, and aggravated possession of drugs.

He is scheduled to make a court appearance in the deadly weapon charge on May 4.
