Canfield Village Green Gazebo damaged after lightning strikes nearby tree

The Canfield Village Green Gazebo was damaged when a tree was obliterated by a lightning strike early Saturday morning.

CANFIELD TWP., Ohio - A lightning strike early Saturday morning obliterated a tree on the Canfield Village Green.

The tree damaged a nearby sign and the newly constructed gazebo.

The extent of the damage is unknown at this time.

The boom woke up several Canfield residents.
