Voters decided that Warren does not need a new form of government Tuesday, after a decision of 2,417 against to 1,752 for the change.

The decision to frame a charter form of government was placed on the ballot by a citizen's group called Warren Deserves Better.

Warren currently operates under a statutory government, and the Ohio Constitution allows voters to choose their preferred form of local government.

Warren Deserves Better Charter Government Initiative has been battling to get a charter form of government on the ballot.
