WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio - A Boardman woman has been sentenced to spend the rest of the week in jail for assaulting an ambulance employee and fighting a police officer trying to arrest her following a traffic accident in Weathersfield Township.

Samantha Donnadio, 34, appeared before a judge in Niles Municipal Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to assault, resisting arrest, and OVI.

Donnadio was arrested Friday night after a minivan crashed into a fence behind a parking lot at Route 46 and Depot Street.

According to the police report, Donnadio told a firefighter that she had been drinking while driving.

Donnadio allegedly jumped on the back of an ambulance EMT and tried to keep a police officer from placing her in handcuffs kicking him in the face and chest until he could force her to the ground.

While most of Donnadio's sentence and fines were suspended, in addition to spending another four days in the Trumbull County Jail, her driver's license has been suspended for one year.
