Crews are currently on scene on Route 224 in Poland after approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from a truck early Friday morning.

Western Reserve Joint Fire District Captain, John Walsh tells 21 News that around 3:30 a.m. a truck exiting a landfill punctured a saddle tank causing the fuel to leak from the state line to Lowellville Road.

Captain Walsh tells us the fuel was contained with pads, booms and oil dry and that there were no injuries.

According to Captain Walsh, no roads are currently closed, as the driver of the truck pulled into a dirt parking lot, so most of the fuel is there rather than in the roadway.

A towing company is currently on scene and Captain Walsh tells us a cleanup crew will shortly be out to clean up the rest of the mess.
