Youngstown man accused of attempting to handcuff, kidnap woman in Niles

NILES, Ohio - A Youngstown man is accused of attempting to handcuff and kidnap a woman in her Niles home Saturday afternoon.
Police were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of Chestnut Avenue where they met with the female victim. The victim told officers that the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Jeff Husk was a friend of her niece.
The victim told officers she invited Husk into her home when he showed up looking for her niece. Police say when the victim turned her back to fix a chair, Husk attempted to handcuff her.
Police say the victim immediately pulled her arm away from him and Husk responded by telling her she "needed to go somewhere" with him followed by the victim kicking him out of her house and calling police. Police say Husk left the home upon the victim's request.
The victim told police that she believed Husk wanted to rape and kill her.
Police were able to identify Husk through his license plate number, and about two hours later, Youngstown Police had advised that he was in their custody.
Husk was transported to the Trumbull County Jail and is facing a charge of Abduction.
