Youngstown Minority Business Assistance Center names regional director

The Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) at the Youngstown Business Incubator has appointed Tanisha Wheeler as its new regional director.
Wheeler earned her bachelor's degree at Youngstown State University in 2017 and Master of Business Administration in Leadership at YSU in 2022.
She previously served as one of MBAC's business counselors, providing technical assistance to small, minority and socially and economically disadvantaged businesses.
Before working at the incubator, Wheeler worked as the program coordinator for Inspiring Minds, before becoming its program director in 2018.
According to a news release from MBAC, Wheeler also is the owner of Birthright Consulting, an educational consulting company in Youngstown working to close the gap between families and educators. currently serves on the board of directors for Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership, Advisory Committee for Choffin Career & Technical Center and board of directors for United Way of Youngstown and The Mahoning Valley. She is also on the board of directors for Gateways to Better Living.
Her new role as MBAC's director for the Youngstown/Warren region will further her efforts in serving the Youngstown community.
