A person was flown to the hospital after a crash in Lawrence County Monday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Route 422 close to the New Castle Harley Davidson in Slippery Rock Township.

A semi-truck and a car collided in that area, leaving a man trapped inside of the car.

The cab of the semi caught fire and was destroyed in the blaze.

A medical helicopter had to land on the roadway and fly one of the drivers to the hospital.

The condition of the drivers' hasn't been released.

Pennsylvania State Police in New Castle are investigating.
