The Youngstown State basketball team is in the midst of a three game, nine day trip to Spain.

The Penguins are scheduled to play three games during the trip against pro international competition.

"Just getting these guys playing with one another, experiencing a different culture is good for all of us," said 7th year coach Jerrod Calhoun.

'We got a whole new team, we have 11 new players and its one of the most talented teams I've been a part of," continued Calhoun.

Last year the Penguins went 24-10 and won the Horizon League regular season championship.

"If your asking me right now to compare in the summer to that team, I think this team has a chance," said Calhoun.

"We're really deep and we're bigger and much different than last year," he said.

The Penguins have two seven footers on its roster.
