GREENVILLE, Pa. - It was a shock for tenants of Arlington Manor when they found a bright orange letter posted on their doors Tuesday, stating that their landlord -TM Associates- has not paid the water and wastewater bill for two months.

That same letter provided them with two options: deduct the payment from their current or future monthly rent or join the other tenants to pay the $10,330.31 balance. If the bill is not paid within 30 days, residents will be cut off from water and wastewater services.

Tenants say, they can't afford the extra expense, as many living within the apartment complex rely on Section 8 housing.

"I moved in here with trust that I was safe, not only safe body-wise but home-wise. And now they're gonna shut my water off and I can't come up with that kind of money to turn it back on," says one tenant, who declined to provide their name.

Reynolds Utilities, the company that supplies water to this apartment complex, says the notice is a standard procedure and a way of getting the attention of TM Associates.

"Ongoingly, we have difficulties to get correspondence back from them. So they've received the bill, we've tried to make calls and do emails, and they're not responsive," says Bradley Gosser, Executive Director and VP of Greenville-Reynolds Development Corporation.

21 News has reached out multiple times to TM Associates Management, Inc. for comment, and has not received a response.

TM Associates is a property development and management group based out of Rockville, Md., which manages over 13,800 units across 288 properties, according to its website
