Discussions begin this week about how to turn a long-time eyesore in Warren into an attractive destination.

The Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership is hosting a public meeting Monday night to discuss the next steps for the former St. Joseph Hospital site.

The hospital, which had fallen into disrepair on its 52-acre site since its closure in 1996, has been demolished using state funding.

TNP received a $20,000 grant through AARP's Community Challenge to turn the space into a usable greenspace.

Monday’s public hearing is being held so residents may share their input on the greenspace layout. They will also hear about the demolition updates and the timeline of the greenspace project.

Results from the citywide parcel inventory will also be discussed, specifically regarding the Northwest side of Warren.

The public meeting will be held on Monday, July 24th, 2023 at 6pm in the meeting hall at Grace United Methodist Church, located at 1725 Drexel Ave. NW, Warren, Ohio, 44483.
