The Animal Welfare League (AWL) of Trumbull County has rescued 92 animals including dogs, chickens, turkeys, ducks and more from a home on Dennison Ashtabula Road in Farmdale.

AWL agents rescued more than 20 dogs and between 20 to 30 turkeys, chicken and ducks that were all missing feathers, according to a post on the group's Facebook page.

The league says the animals had limited or no access to water but they have been rescued and cleaned. However, it's unclear if they will survive at this time.

Due to the number of animals rescued and their health, the league estimates this case will cost it about $10,000 to handle due to medical bills, payment of overtime for the AWL staff, investigation and possible legal action if necessary.
