LISBON, Ohio - A Wellsville man, who is already accused of selling drugs near a school, is in the Columbiana County Jail after agents say they found meth and suspected psychedelic mushrooms in a truck.

The Columbiana County Drug Task Force agents say they conducted a search on a Dodge Ram truck on Tuesday that had been towed after a suspect fled from them a few days earlier.

Task force members say with the help of a K9, they found a loaded 9mm Glock handgun, 7 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine mixture, as well as 4 grams of mushrooms.

Thirty-seven-year-old Dennis Byers of Wellsville was arrested on several warrants for drug and weapons charges.

Byers is already awaiting a trial on charges outlined in a February indictment for allegedly selling methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, and within 100 feet of a juvenile.
