Voter registration drive at Jewish Community Center set for Sep. 19

The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation will hold a voter registration drive with the League of Women Voters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Jewish Community Center at 505 Gypsy Lane, according to a release.
Participants at the drive will be able to check their registration status, register to vote, find their local polling site, and pick up an absentee ballot request form.
The drive coincides with National Voter Registration Day, and comes just under two months from the election this November, when Ohioans will go to the ballot box to vote on statewide candidates, local officials, and two controversial amendments which aim to legalize recreation marijuana and protect reproductive rights in the state.
The registration drive is not restricted by party affiliation.
