Skilled workers are making new signs that will welcome travelers to Ohio at the Pennsylvania line along Interstate 80 in Trumbull County and 35 other entry points around the state.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says the signs display the slogan, “Welcome to Ohio – The Heart of it all”.

The red and blue letters of each word on the signs are being applied by hand on a reflective white background.

State officials announced in May a campaign to resume use of "Ohio, The Heart of it All" tagline to promote the state through social media posts, radio, and TV.

ODOT plans to have all 36 signs in place by December.
