A former Mayor of East Liverpool has been sentenced for a second conviction of failing to file income tax forms with the city.

Ryan Stovall, who served as the city’s mayor until 2019, pleaded no contest on Tuesday to two counts of failing to file city income tax returns.

Municipal Court Judge Katelyn Dickey found Stovall guilty and fined him $1000. All but $50 of the fines were suspended and Stovall was placed on probation for two years.

Stovall was also convicted of the same charge in 2021. He was fined $500. However, $450 of the fine was suspended.
