Mill Creek MetroParks to host 'Pumpkin Walk at Twilight' October 15

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - October is here and fall is in full swing here in the Valley, and Mill Creek MetroParks will be joining in on the fun.
The MetroParks will be hosting the Pumpkin Walk at Twilight on Sunday, October 15 at Fellows Riverside Gardens (123, McKinley Avenue, Youngstown) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Families can take a walk around the pumpkin-lined paths of the gardens as the day turns to night. Additionally, guests can pay a visit to Scarecrow Row near the Margaret Cushwa Education Building, which features various scarecrows dressed and decorated by local non-profits.
Folks can also enjoy some live music courtesy of The Shoe Shine Boys, as well as children's activities by the MetroParks education staff. There will also be refreshments courtesy of Kravitz's Garden Cafe and Mill Creek MetroParks merchandise will be available for purchase.
The event is free and open to the public and parking is absolutely free as well. Parking is available on site and in nearby lots. Price Road will be closed to vehicular traffic and parking.
Additional parking will be available at the Wick Recreation Area on McCollum Road with a limited shuttle service to and from Fellows Riverside Gardens. Guests are advised that wait times for the shuttle may be lengthy.
If you'd like your very own pumpkin to be featured at this event, you can stop by Fellows Riverside Gardens on Friday, October 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for family-friendly pumpkin carving. The finished pumpkins will be displayed on the pumpkin walk.
The outdoor carving area will be located in the back north section of the Fellows Riverside Gardens parking lot. Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided but guests are free to bring their own tools.
Carved pumpkins cannot be taken before during or after the event and are solely to be displayed at the pumpkin walk.
