A former cashier at the Liberty Township Walmart who just turned 18 this year could spend between six months and a year in jail for stealing from the store.

Teyona Turner of Youngstown will be sentenced later after pleading guilty to a felony theft charge on Monday.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office, Turner was accused of stealing just over $4,000 out of the cash registers of Wal-Mart and scanning gift cards improperly.

The judge in the case has ordered Turner to pay back the money.
