Fire crews in Youngstown were kept busy early Sunday morning battling multiple fires around the city.

Youngstown police spotted the first one just before 2:00 AM at a home on South Pearl Street on the city's east side.  Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames pouring out of the second floor.

No one was inside at the time but someone does own the home and was fixing it up.  The cause of that fire is under investigation.

A few hours later around 5:00 AM, fire crews were called to a home on East Auburndale Avenue where a detached garage was on fire.  The flames from that managed to spread to another garage behind it at a home on East Ravenwood Avenue.

Fire crews got both fires under control with the flames never spreading to the home.  The garage at the home on Auburndale burned down completely.

Crews tell 21 News the fire marshal will be looking into both fires.
