It looks like more friendly faces are going to be in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Liberty Local Schools Band Director Michael Summers will march in the parade with the Band Directors Marching Band.

The Saluting America's Band Director's parade entry will again convey its theme, "America's band directors: We teach music. We teach life." to recognize the dedication and accomplishments of band directors and music educators everywhere.

Throughout their careers, the music educators in this band have collectively mentored and taught hundreds of thousands of students. 

Summers joins more than 400 band directors, including secen from Columbiana, East Palestine, Lowellville, Lakeview, John F. Kennedy, Grand Valley and Southern Local Schools will head to New York City for the festivities. 

Viewers can expect to hear some marching classics like John Phillip Sousa's 'The Stars and Stripes Forever.'

2022 was the first year the band marched.
