CORTLAND, Ohio - Apostolatkis Honda in Cortland and Shenango Honda in Hermitage have announced on Friday that throughout the month of December, they will be giving back to food banks in their locals communities.

According to a press release, $50 from every new and used car sale at both dealerships in December will go to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County.

The president of both dealerships, John Apostolakis says the need for these food banks is especially great during the holiday season so this is a way for both the dealerships and the customers to give back these season.

"The times right now are tough in this holiday season, everybody is strapped weather they're paying bills, they're buying presents, so we want to make their purchase go a little bit further this year,"Jess Briganti, Apostolatkis Auto Group Marketing Director said. "That's why we're making it help with a little year-end push towards giving back to the food banks."

Each customer will be asked which food bank they'd like their money to go towards, and at the end of the months, checks will be presented to both food banks with the funds collected for each of them.
