Wellsville mayor mandating curfew for minors after vandalism in village

WELLSVILLE, Ohio - The village of Wellsville in Columbiana County has had it with youth vandalizing city property.
The vandalism was first discovered in Wellsville early Friday morning, with road signs around the village having been run over and stop signs and walls having been defaced with spray paint.
Mayor Bob Boley has offered a $500 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the vandals and says a curfew will be put into place Monday night in response to the damage.
The curfew will start at 10 p.m. for those 17 and younger on weekday nights, and the curfew will begin at 11 p.m. on Friday evenings and weekends.
The estimated amount of damage done by the vandals is currently unknown, but Boley said that the floodwall of the Wellsville Marina had been graffitied, and dark tire marks were left in its parking lot.
The Wellsville Marina was recently updated with the help of a $75,000 grant. The park gate of the playground on 18th Street was also broken by the vandals.
Boley says that there are no suspects at this time.
