PennDOT lifts vehicle restrictions on Shenango Valley highways

MERCER, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted temporary vehicle restrictions on some Shenango Valley highways.
PennDOT announced Tuesday morning that the temporary restriction on certain vehicles from traveling on Interstates 79, 86, and 90 has been lifted.
Due to continued periods of heavy snowfall, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limit on Interstates 79 and 90 in Erie County.
All other vehicle restrictions on interstates in the northwest region have been lifted.
Speeds are reduced to 45 mph on the following highways:
I-79 from Exit 166 (Edinboro/Albion/Route 6N) to the end of I-79 in Erie County; and
I-90 from I-79 to Exit 35 (Route 531/Haborcreek)
On roadways with speed restrictions, commercial vehicles not affected by restrictions on these or other roadways must move to the right lane.
