Attempted arson on Sunday night in Youngstown being investigated

Youngstown Police and Fire are investigating an attempted arson done on Hylda Avenue near Finley Avenue.
On Sunday night, around 11:30 p.m., two suspects drove up to a home and attempted to firebomb a home with three people inside, according to a police report.
The two threw a Molotov cocktail at the front of the house, hitting the front porch and exploding - starting a fire.
On arrival, police saw a clear bottle broken on the porch with a burnt rag attached. According to the report, officers also observed a strong smell of gasoline.
While it's unclear at this time who the suspects are, one of the victims told police it may be related to something dealing with her dead son.
