Speeds near 100mph as trooper chases truck through Mahoning, Trumbull Counties

CANFIELD, Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a pickup truck who led them on a half-hour pursuit through two counties at speeds nearing 100 miles per hour.
A newer model pickup truck being driven by a man with a female passenger, sped away after a Trooper attempted to pull it over for a speeding violation on Interstate 680 in Youngstown just after 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The patrolman chased the truck to Route 11 in Austintown, onto Fairgrounds Blvd. in Canfield, along Route 165 in Green Township, eventually going back to Route 11 and Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run in Austintown.
When the chase reached more populated neighborhoods along Route 46 in Weathersfield, the Trooper broke off the chase.
The truck’s license plate was traced to a Trumbull County man and the patrol is expected to file charges.
