Drivers are urged to be careful when using road this morning after multiple accidents have caused backups along State Route 11.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatch, traffic on State Route 11 south bound lanes has resumed after multiple accidents were caused by black ice.

Earlier this morning, all lanes north bound near Route 224 were closed due to the accidents but were reopened around 10 a.m.

Meanwhile OSHP have responded to multiple accidents this morning on interstates 680 and 76 also.

According to patrol dispatch, the cause of the accidents were due to black ice that formed over bridges due to the sub 30 degree weather and rain fall over night.

While no severe injuries were reported, patrol dispatch is advising drivers to be cautious as they drive on the highways this morning.
