The Ohio Department of Transportation is noting new road projects the will have lane restrictions or road closures scheduled to start next week in Mahoning County.

State Route 165 in Beaver and Springfield Townships will begin a resurfacing project on Monday, April 15, between South Range Rd. and the Columbiana County line. Various lane restrictions will be in place during the project, which is estimated to be completed by late July.

In southeastern Mahoning County, the village of New Middletown and Springfield Township will begin a pavement reconstruction along State Route 170.

The project will begin on Wednesday, April 17; westbound E. Middletown Rd. to State Route 170 will be closed through mid-May. A detour will be posted. The ongoing work along SR 170 southbound between Struthers Rd. and Middletown Rd. remains closed through mid-October for roadway reconstruction. The detour is State Route 617 to State Route 165 to State Route 626 to State Route 7 to US Route 224 to State Route 170. The estimated completion date is October 2025.
