Hubbard man accused of shoplifting nearly $2,000 in goods from Boardman stores

If you wonder if police ever arrest any of those shoplifters who brazenly walk out of a store with a buggy full of stolen merchandise. Here’s an instance where a suspect was tracked down.
Three months after a cashier told police that a man left a Southern Boulevard hardware store without paying for $1,431 worth of goods, Boardman Police have made an arrest.
Thirty-five-year-old Danny Geisler of Hubbard was arraigned Thursday in county court on theft charges.
After reviewing the security video, police believe it was Geisler who shoplifted two electric trimmers and batteries, 19 gallons of paint, and six paintbrushes.
Geisler is also a suspect in a shoplifting incident at a Southern Park Mall store in late March when more than $540 worth of clothing was stolen.
Another court hearing in the cases is scheduled for next week.
