The Ohio State Chiropractic Association is just one of many organizations around the country looking to advance the Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act (SB-799).

Now, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown is joining as a co-Sponsor of Senate Bill 799.

The goal of SB-799 is to enhance access for Medicare beneficiaries to seek out non-pharmacological treatment options provided by chiropractors.

This bill has garnered strong bipartisan support and is a significant step forward in modernizing Medicare.

Dr. Brandy Spaulding, Executive Director of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association says "Senator Brown's endorsement underscores the importance of this legislation in improving patient care and expanding access to chiropractic services for seniors across Ohio and the nation."

SB-799 also seeks to address access to cost-effective, non-drug treatment solutions, particularly amidst the ongoing opioid crisis.

By removing barriers to the services covered under Medicare, the bill will empower patients with more options to manage their health through non-invasive methods.

“Many Ohioans rely on chiropractic services to alleviate chronic pain. Our legislation will improve access to the treatment older Ohioans need by expanding Medicare coverage for all chiropractic services,” said Brown. “Seniors should be able to receive the treatment they need without being hit with unaffordable medical bills.”

Senator Brown is the 14th co-sponsor to support the legislation.
