Judge denies motion to suppress evidence in case of East Liverpool man accused of murdering wife

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - A Columbiana County judge has ruled that statements given to police by an East Liverpool man accused of murdering his wife and hiding her body in the shed are fair game to be used in court.
During a recent hearing on these motions, suspect Christopher Morrison argued that he only gave these statements because police would not tell him why he was being arrested and he felt like he had to in order to find out.
However, Judge Megan Bickerton rejected this argument, saying he was given a Miranda waiver form that officers went over with him and was signed by him indicating that he understood his right to remain silent and still voluntarily gave those statements.
While being questioned by prosecutors during that same hearing, Morrison responded with statements that left the courtroom speechless.
Morrison testified about being "under a lot of stress" during the interview with police, at which point prosecutor Steve Yacovone asked him if his wife being dead in the shed stressed him out. Morrison simply replied, "Yes."
Furthermore, Morrison appeared to admit to the crime during the following exchange:
"You know exactly where Tiffany Morrison is and you know exactly what happened to Tiffany Morrison correct," asked Yacovone. "Yes," Morrison replied. "And that is that you shot her, you chopped her up and put her in the shed correct," Yacovone asked. "Yes," Morrison replied.
