Construction worker shocked while performing concrete work in Ellsworth Township
Smith tells 21 News the worker is in stable condition, but sustained significant burns on his right hand.

A construction worker was taken to the hospital after he was shocked while performing concrete work in Ellsworth Township Thursday morning.
Ellsworth Township Assistant Fire Chief Jillian Smith tells 21 News a concrete crew was working on Leffingwell Road with a pump truck pumping cement.
Smith says the truck made contact with an electrical wire, which energized the arm of the truck and shocked the worker who was on the arm. Workers had to perform CPR on the victim, but Smith says he was fully alert by the time emergency crews got to the scene.
Smith tells 21 News the worker is in stable condition, but sustained significant burns on his right hand. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
