SOUTHINGTON TWP. - State Troopers say 179 drivers came under their scrutiny during Saturday night’s sobriety checkpoint in Trumbull County.

Of those 179 drivers, the Ohio State Highway Patrol says four drivers were pulled over for sobriety checks during the two-hour operation along Parkman Road.

One of those four was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.

“If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink,” said OSHP Lt. D.W. Morrison.  “Don't let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.”
